Papua New Guinea (PNG) coffees are mostly grown in remote valleys on small individual or community-owned plots. Varieties were brought here from trees straight from Africa and others from intermediate areas. Several different varietals -- including Blue Mountain -- are sometimes found in the same lots. PNG coffees are highly regarded for their bright acidity and creamy finish.
ABOUT THE ROAST LEVEL
Half CITY ROAST is a light roast that features a cinnamon color. There will be no oil on the surface of the beans because they haven’t been roasted long enough for the oils to break through the bean surface. Half City Roast is often referred to as a "blonde" or "light" roast and is preferred for coffees with floral notes.
